That is when it really just starts for the relationship between a company and the client. That is what separates great businesses from the average businesses that just make it by year after year without much direction.
The Strategy of Preeminence means that you are willing to put your client's needs before your own in the relationship that you two have. It means you are protective of how they are doing with your products and services.
More importantly you are willing to go the extra mile for your customer, even if it means giving them bad news that might hurt the transaction. It is also realizing that you will never have full success and financial independence until they are financially established first.
This Strategy of Preeminence demonstrates that you have the utmost respect for human nature and what emotional stress that your client may go through during this trying period for them too. Put yourself in their shoes and try to understand the stress that they are going through because they don't want to look stupid and they would prefer to make no choice then the wrong choice. They need a trusted friend to help with their decision making.
When you can become their trusted adviser and their friend then at that point you will realize that they are as human as you and I. They will always think with human emotion first and foremost.
When you focus more on the problem your business solves instead of money that it makes then you will see the beginning of greatness. At this point you become someone who is truly enriching other people's lives and they will respect your business for it.
This strategy will apply to any business and they are universal rules that are applicable in our lives no matter who you are or what you do for business. This might be obvious to you and your circumstance, but you would be amazed how often it becomes more about the money and offering merchandise over actually helping people solve needs and wants in their lives.
This type of a mentality will allow for them to remember you and bring them back to your business over and over again. Eventually they will acknowledge this to their friends and invite them to take a look at what you have to offer.

For instance, if I was to say these words to you, "Terrorists have just attacked." Just 4 words only. Yet those 4 words cause an instant emotional reaction in you, true?

It's your words which are making your prospects look elsewhere. It's not your product, your personality, your looks, voice, education or anything else.

My Power Mall Business Evaluation by David Cowley
I have looked at numerous on-line money making opportunities over the last 10 years and very few have been truly free or that actually provides a product or service that would be of benefit to me. Today I am looking at My Power Mall (MPM).
Here is the basic information. You will get a free power mall when you sigh up. You will receive a rebate on all of your purchases. You can give away free power malls to anyone and you will receive a commission on all purchase up to 9 tier levels deep. You will receive all of the tools needed to become successful in your new business.
Sounds good so far, but then all of them do sound good in the sales letter. The first thing I looked at is there any store in the system that I would actually use? Having the ability to shop on-line at a bagel store in Nebraska would not be of benefit to me. You have the ability to shop on-line at places like Sears, Target, PETsMART, Starbucks, Hickory Farms, Ralph Lauren, Overstock, Wes Marine, Old Navy, OfficeMax, Gap, Circuit City, and K Mart just to name a few of the over 1000 of stores available and you receive rebates on everything you purchase.
I shop at some of the stores listed and when I looked for a large price markup on the items for sale I could not find any. I have seen other on-line stores that increase the price per item so high to compensate for the commissions paid that anyone that does any type of price comparison would never shop at that on-line store unless he or she lived in a very small town and the nearest store was over 50 miles away. That type of opportunity would limit my target market and I would get very few if any commissions on sales.
Is it really free? If I have to spend 30 bucks or so per month to maintain an active account then I do not consider that opportunity to be free. If I have to purchase some type of mailing list or do any advertising to get a minimum number of people signed up under me to maintain my active status then again it is not free.
Does My Power Mall have any qualification minimums? Nope, no mandatory minimums, no meetings, no selling required, no activity requirements and the company guaranties that their will never be any. If you take a look at what they are offering you can see why this is true. Only one on-line store exists.
Everyone that has a power mall uses the same set of computer programs and the only thing different is your ID number is being used to determine who gets commission for the sale. Once you set up a database to keep track of member ID numbers it is not much more costly to keep track of 1 member as it is to keep track of 100,000 members. No programming staff is required to help members customize the malls or extra computer space to take care of all of the different malls. No approval process, as soon as you sign up you will have your mall ID within seconds.
No selling. This is right at the top of my list of things that I do not want to do. I hate selling. I don't want to send out sales letters to all of my friends or even people I do not know. I like to write articles and I do have web sites for my articles on allergies, heart disease, diamond and so on. When I write an article on allergies or diamonds I do not tell the reader that you need to go out and purchase this vitamin because, or go to this jewelry store and buy diamonds. I like to write article that contain useful or interesting information. I do put adds for one or two vitamin companies or jewelry companies on my web sites and if the reader wants to purchase something then great and I do get a commission on the sales.
This may give away my age but quite a few years ago I went to England on business. I was out with some people from work and the topic of blue jeans came up. When asked how many blue jeans I owned I told them I had about 6 pairs. Right away they thought I was rich. Why, because at that time blue jeans were very hard to come by in England and were going for about $150 each. My cost was about $30. I sold them my blue jeans for $100 each.
American products are still very hard to come by in a lot of foreign countries. My Power Mall group has made arrangements with a company to send just about everything they sell to just about any country. It will cost extra for the shipping and the customs paperwork but if a customer from Uruguay wants to purchase Craftsman tools from Sears it can be done.
One last thing, My Power Mall donates a percentage of profit to non-profit organizations. They even give you the option of signing up your favorite non-profit organization for a win-win situation. Can I recommend this company? I have just signed up with them and I do not have enough history with the company to give you a fair and honest report so you will have to check back later. They have passed all of my tests but you need to take a look at them yourself and see if they pass all of your tests.

Even though the days of an IPO generating millions of dollars are gone, money can still be made on the Internet. How can you make money online?
One way to make money online is to become an affiliate on someone else's website. The more traffic a site generates, the more product is sold - and the easier it becomes for everyone to make money online. It's vital then for websites to have as many links to their site as possible, increasing their product's visibility, and you can make money online by simply having a link to their site on your site and receiving sales commissions. One of the main topics business owners want me to coach them on is profitability. For the most part, the kind of people I work with don’t have money as the #1 thing on the list of values. It’s important to them of course, but usually they’re more motivated by personal or spiritual values, like making a positive difference in the world. I’m a person like that myself. But as a business coach, I’m also privy to the inner- dialogue, the self-esteem issues, and the confounding defense systems that cause roadblocks to financial solvency. These deep wounds and doubts can sabotage business profitability far better than a failing economy, a poor job market, or a competitive marketplace ever could. Chronic “underearning,” a habitual pattern of an otherwise healthy, bright person who does not earn enough money to pay for life’s basic necessities, is a type of self-sabotage.
The term “underearning” became popularized by the book, “Earn What You Deserve” by Jerrold Mundis. That book is probably 10 years old by now, but the topic is always relevant, particularly for self-employed people. There’s a bit of a chicken-or-egg quandary when you look at underearning and self-employment. Many underearners unconsciously gravitate towards entrepreneurship because it provides freedom from accountability, therefore allowing an underearner say “no” to success, or “yes” to business activities that don’t make financial sense. But I’ve also seen formerly successful people start their own business and get stuck in a cycle of struggle and poverty that didn’t plague them before. So perhaps an underearning pattern can be developed as a result of starting up a new business as well. It’s so prevalent, that there’s a 12-Step group called Business Owners Debtors Anonymous (BODA) where entrepreneurs who struggle with money gather for support around financial responsibility. There isn’t a BODA national website yet, but if you’re curious you can probably find a meeting through their parent organization Debtor’s Anonymous. Here are 10 Common Traits of Underearners: 1.Chronic pattern of not earning enough to meet your needs. 2.Being close-minded about work that offers financial stability. 3.Avoiding contact with people that want to hire you. 4.Working for trade, deep discounts, or pro-bono, instead of money. 5.Distracting oneself with romantic intrigue to avoid career issues. 6.Changing jobs/careers after startup, but before income begins. 7.Compulsively saying “yes” to work or clients that don’t pay enough. 8.Compulsively saying “no” or being afraid of opportunities that pay well. 9.When money is abundant, compulsively over- spending or creating debt. 10.Having a core belief system that says you are bad, and/or money is bad.
So what do you do if the word, “Underearner,” describes you? Besides taking a look at Mundis’ book, or checking out a BODA or DA meeting, you can start with self-observation. Be careful not to go into self-judgment. Most underearners feel enough shame already. Simply notice how you act when it’s time to make decisions or take actions that might help you earn money. Do you pull back? Get sick? Find some other distraction to throw yourself into, or work harder at the wrong tasks?
The good news is that you have a choice as to whether you continue to underearn, or change the dynamic. Every day, you have a choice. You can make those follow up calls to prospects, or not. You can take work that will pay enough for your bills, or you can try to “get by” a little longer. You can say yes to the right clients, and no to situations that are bad for you. You’re innately powerful, but when underearning shows up in your life, some part of you has lost touch with that power. Increasing profitability isn’t just something that you do. Indeed, there are systems and accountability structures that will help you make more money. But sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs happen when you change what you believe.

Niche Marketing Mini-Sites: Making Money Online Doesn't Get Any Easier! by Sam Streubel
Over the last two years I've built two profitable niche websites and it wasn't quick or easy. I can attest to the experience of other successful niche marketers who report it takes about two years to achieve a 4 figure monthly income.
Along the way your patience is put to the test by daily income reports that never seem to budge and you start to wonder if it's all just a big waste of time. If you're a first time entrepreneur, waiting for your hard work to achieve critical mass and explosive earnings can be maddening.
When I built my first website the prevailing wisdom was to build a large, 50+ page content rich website. With 25 years of off line business experience behind me, I was prepared for whatever this new internet marketing business model threw at me. Sell Your Stuff: A Free Online Guide to Selling on eBay by Jamie Jefferson
EBay is one of the most successful and versatile auction sites on the web. Whether you are simply cleaning out your attic or you are embarking on a new work at home career, here are a few things that eBay insiders already know:
1. Your eBay reputation is of major significance. Many bidders will consult feedback from your customers before placing bids, so you will want to acquire lots of positive feedback to maintain an excellent rating. This means being a courteous and conscientious seller.
2. Descriptions sell. Pictures are wonderful, but they may not show every detail. That is why accurate descriptions are important. Most buyers know that used items are not in perfect condition. Be sure to describe chips, scratches, holes or any other defects. If you do happen to be selling collectible items, such as baseball cards or beanie babies that you have kept packaged and in mint condition, mention that in the title or heading.
3. Photograph your items carefully. When taking snapshots of your items, be sure there is plenty of light and clean or polish them first. Create a pleasant background and use a flash whenever possible. Dark, fuzzy, hazy pictures are boring and will not pull in the attention of the viewer. Many sellers post photographs taken from various angles showing the front, back and any markings, if they are selling highly desirable items such as collectible glassware.
4. Communicate well with potential buyers. Some potential buyers will write to ask questions about the article for sale. Be prepared, attentive and responsive. Do your research so that you will be able to answer their questions quickly. Remember, a minor detail to you may be very important to the buyer and may mean the difference between a successful sale and no sale at all.
5. Ship with care. When packaging delicate items, be sure to pad each one carefully using Styrofoam popcorn or bubble wrap, and plug any exposed areas using crumpled up newspaper. Glassware should be placed in boxes at least four inches apart and away from the sides, top and bottom to ensure safe delivery. Mark the outside of the carton "Fragile" and "Handle with Care."
6. Know the ins and outs of insurance. No matter how careful you are, there is always the possibility of breakage when shipping certain items, so it is a good idea to familiarize yourself beforehand with the claim process.
Getting serious about eBay
If you are serious about making money from your eBay selling, you will need to become adept at researching the eBay marketplace, especially before you decide which products you want to sell.
Here are some guidelines:
1. Search for the most popular categories. Look at the number of listings that exist under each category. Then look to see how many bids the products have.
2. Choose no more than one or two categories, especially when you are first starting out. When you are an expert in your niche, you build credibility and trust with your buyers.
3. Examine the ratings of the sellers who are listing products in each category. Read their profiles. See how many products they are currently selling and how many products they have sold in the past.
4. Analyze prices. Become an expert in your chosen category and know at which price a product is worth buying, as well as the expected final winning price of your auction.

Do your research and work only with legitimate drop shippers, which are either the product manufacturers themselves or authorized wholesale distributors. If a prospective dropshipper asks you to place a minimum order or to pay a fee to set up your drop shipping account, consider it a red flag.
2. Buy from eBay. Many successful eBayers know how to buy at a good price on eBay and then sell the same products at a higher price. If you know your niche well, you can find opportunities that will allow you to buy and resell for a profit. Here again, research is essential.

How to sell $20,000 per month on eBay
First of all let me tell you selling on eBay is easy, but it takes time or money. eBay has fees that you have to pay and if you want to grow quickly you will spend a lot on fees while you are learning.
My wife had an eBay business and she was a Gold Power Seller selling more than $20,000 per month. She sold mostly watches, lots and lots of watches. She sold them wholesale, by the dozen or by the case, 30 to 60 at a time. They were inexpensive watches; we paid from $2.50 to $4.00 for each one and sold them from $3.50 to $12.00 depending on the quantity purchased.

When selling on eBay there are several tricks. Let me tell you the 3 tricks I think are the most important.
Trick #1: Build your reviews. Your reviews are your lifeline on eBay. You need to build your reviews so people trust you and want to do business with you. If they don’t trust you, you won’t sell anything on eBay. When you start you will have to offer good deals, free shipping or great communication. I always encouraged people to call me on the phone and ask questions by posting my phone in every listing. I didn’t get a lot of calls but I did get a lot of reviews.
Trick #2: Make big margins. You need those margins. You can’t buy something for $10 and sell it at $12, not even at $15. The listing fees alone will eat you. Remember, you have to pay a listing fee, you have to pay a fee if you sell the product and on top of that you pay PayPal when you collect the money. You could easily pay up to 10% or more of your selling price. This could be your entire profit. If you use any special listings to showcase your product you could be looking at $20 extra per listing category. So again, don’t try to make it on volume, try to make it on big margins. The best things to sell are either unique items or collectibles, name brand items that people are looking for like iPods, or hard to find items or imports.
Trick #3: Make more money on shipping. When my wife sold on eBay about 80% of our profit was made from shipping charges. We kept our product prices low so they attract the buyer and charged a bit more on shipping. People understood and they always got a great deal. For us it was a no brainer. eBay does not charge you any fees on your shipping charges, just on the selling prices.
The funny thing is we only sold wholesale on eBay. And it seemed we were the only ones really selling wholesale. Most people selling at “wholesale prices” were selling at about 3 times what we could get any of their items.
Many of our customers had eBay stores, others had convenience stores or gift stores, many of them had other businesses and wanted giveaways for their customers.
This is only a small example of what you can do with Wholesale Distribution. And believe me, it’s not the most profitable one or the easiest to start.
